A beautifully written book. I bought 3 books. 1 for my grandson, 1 for a niece, and 1 for my son. A great book to read!

  5. Adriana P

My husband and I purchased this wonderful children’s book as a gift for friends who are new parents! We love the message that this book sends and the illustrations are beautiful. After reading this story, we decided we had to get a copy for ourselves.

Guion The Lion will welcome you into a colorful & inclusive world filled with magic & wonder! This book is a great reminder that we need to celebrate and embrace the magic of our differences; and that you’re never too old, or young, to succumb to the power of imagination!

  6. Dominick

We love this book…as soon as it arrived, we could tell it was very high-quality. The illustrations are gorgeous, and the messaging is uplifting. This is a story about creativity and seeing the world through different perspectives and is great for children of all ages.

  7. Gibson42

This book is absolutely beautiful. The illustrations immediately bring you into the world of the Savannah (which is cool enough on its own), where creatures like giraffes, hippos, and ostriches evolve into dragons, mermaids, and dinosaurs in the imagination of the main characters. The final pages have options for after-read Q&A and play events inspired by the story, which ensure that the book’s heartfelt lessons stick. Recommend!

  8. Julie

As a teacher of tiny humans, I love when I find stories that teach kids real life lessons! If you don’t like the view, try a new perspective. And Guion’s colorful mane makes this story even better!

  9. Robin

    Love it

  10. James Roberts

Very sweet story about imagination. The book is a sturdy 9 x 11 with nice, thick pages. The text is large and easily readable. The illustrations are wonderful. Soft, warm and full of heart. I love the added detail of the colored footprints. Kids will easily dive into this. It’s the perfect length for a bedtime story. There are also Question and Activity pages at the end, so the book can also be used in an educational setting. Also, seems to be a bit of a cliffhanger at the end? So maybe a sequel is coming. Sweet book with a strong message.

  11. Tago

Cute story & cute characters come with a lovely palette. Positive and upbeat Guion finds himself dealing with his doubting and depressed friend Rae until the end. Comes with the added bonus of Let’s Talk and Activity ideas pages.

The book’s message is simple and very relevant in today's world: sometimes changing your perspective can make you see the world in a different light. We can all recognize ourselves in both Guion The Lion and Rae The Bushbaby- in the dichotomy of believing and doubting, of optimism and pessimism, of fantasy and reality.
